STMC's First Baby of 2012 Arrives

Winchester, Tenn. – Southern Tennessee Medical Center is proud to announce the arrival of the 1st Baby of 2012 at The Childbirth Center in Winchester.  A healthy baby girl, Lilly Ann, was delivered at 7:12 p.m. on January 3, 2012.  Lilly Ann weighed 6 pounds and 1.2 ounces, was 16 ½ inches in length, and is the daughter of Savannah Vaughn and Alan Greer of Coffee County.  The maternal grandmother is Sherrie Duke and the paternal grandmother is Brenda Greer

Lilly Ann was delivered by Dr. Bryan Myers, OB/GYN Associates, and assisted by delivery nurses, Carrie Rogers, RN, Kristen Adams, RN, and Jennifer Rogers, RN.  Dr. Nevin Mangru was Lilly Ann’s Pediatrician.

For being the 1st Baby of 2012 born at Southern Tennessee Medical Center, Lilly Ann and her family received a basketful of gifts from STMC, local physicians and businesses.  The STMC Childbirth Center provided a Mobi Ultra Digital Talking Dual Scan Ear / Forehead Thermometer, a Fisher Price Lullabies CD, a Disney Simba Plush Toy, and the Disney Baby’s First Prints Kit; the STMC Volunteer Auxiliary and Gift Shop gave the Disney 4 piece gift set which included a frame, tooth and curl keepsake boxes and birth certificate holder; OB/GYN Associates, Dr. Bryan Myers and Dr. Mel Fleming, gave Lilly Ann a $50 Visa Gift Card; Dr. Scott Holder and Dr. Christy Pettes gave the new baby a $50 savings bond; Sewanee Pediatrics, Dr. Amy Evans and Dr. Mary Heath gave a helpful book entitled “What to Expect the First Year;” Winchester Pediatrics, Dr. Nevin Mangru and Dr. Jolanta Szczarkowska provided a case of Huggies diapers, Huggies baby wipes, pacifiers, and a case of Similac.

Local business owners joined the celebration by donating gifts to the new arrival and family.  Davis Sons, Editor / Owner, Winchester Herald-Chronicle and Pronto Printers, donated a one year subscription to the Winchester Herald-Chronicle and 100 thank you notes; box lunches for mom and dad and baby’s first birthday cake was donated by Jackie Finney, Owner of the Blackberry Patch Bakery and Catering; flowers for mom and baby were given by Shane Langford, Owner of Spencer’s Flowers; a 30 minute well deserved massage for mom was donated by Brooksie Davis, Owner of Peace Restored; Kirby Smith and Tammie Ragsdale of Macey’s Embroidery Boutique gave a beautiful fleece blanket monogrammed with “New Years Baby 2012;”  Kathy Bennett, Owner / Photographer donated a complimentary sitting fee for baby photos, proofs, and an 8 X 10 photo; a darling baby ring was given to Lilly Ann by Diamonds for You, Dale and Beverly Pavette, Owners; Jan Hines, Owner / Stylist of Haircrafters will provide Lilly Ann with her first hair cut; a $15 gift certificate was given by Scottie Steele, Owner of the Oasis Steakhouse; and complimentary movie admission for two to the Oldham Theater / Montana Drive-In was donated by the Rhoton family.
